A nurses aide will visit once or twice a week, depending on the need, to assist with vital signs, medication monitoring, diet supervision, making medial appointments, ostomy care, oral care, oral care, bathing, dressing, grooming, nail care, assistance with ambulation and exercises. We also make referrals to other agencies such as "Meals on Wheels". Transportation services are not provided at this time.
Respite Care - This program can provide up to 2 hours, twice a week or 4 hours once a week. People need to commit to a regular day and time due to staffing constraints. Respite is intended to allow time for the caregiver to take a break from their care giving duties. Services include such care as companionship, meal preparation, bathing, dressing, grooming, vital signs and assistant with ambulation and exercises.
Telephone Reassurance - "Good morning" contact service. Volunteers make phone calls to seniors each morning to check on their well-being. This program allows seniors contact with someone on a daily basis. Callers will contact emergency contacts or the sheriff’s department if they can’t reach a person. However, this service is not intended to replace use of Lifeline on an ongoing basis. The client will be talking to someone each day. Relative of the client have the assurance of the client being checked on.
