If you need more help than our staff can provide, we maintain a registry of people available for private hire to provide in-home support services (non-medical care) including housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation, help with grooming and dressing and companion care.  Rates generally range from $8-15 per hour.  Fees should be negotiated directly with the provider.  We have not done a background check on these individuals and we list them for your information only and not as a recommendation.  We strongly recommend that you interview and do a background check on prospective in-home helpers before hiring them.  For access to ICHAT, the on-line criminal history background services, go to www.michigan.gov/ichat.   Please Contact Us for more information.
