Benzie Community Services Home Health Care is a non-profit organization providing services to the elderly in Benzie County, Michigan. The agency was established in 1975. Operating funds come from private and corporate donations, contracts and grants with non-profit agencies, and the annual Walk-A-Thon fundraiser. Payment for services is not required. Mission Statement of Benzie Community Services Home Health Care
"Benzie Community Services provides basic home health care to the elderly (60 years or older) who need personal assistance to remain safely in their homes, but who do not require the intensive care and treatment of an institution. Benzie Community Services also helps to restore the client to a safe, acceptable level of independent living and to prevent further health complications."
We offer the services of home health care, respite care, telephone reassurance, in-home helpers and an equipment loan closet. If you are 60 years of age or older, a resident of Benzie County and need personal assistance to remain safely in your home, but don't require the intensive care and treatment of an institution, we can help. Our goal is to enable the elderly to remain at home independently as long as possible. Anyone may contact us during office hours regarding the referral of a client to our agency.
